National Account Specialist/Inventory Planner

Job Description

As National Account Specialist/Inventory Planner (known internally as Account Specialist VMI), you will be responsible for providing support to the North Island Sales  Managers, working with Foodstuffs North Island and their VMI Management (Vendor Managed Inventory).

Your primary focus will be given to the VMI Management by working effectively with the internal Foodstuffs functions including Forecasting, Category, Primary Freight and Replenishment teams, to ensure the JDE stock ordering is controlled in-house and service level KPI's are met.

You will:

  • Provide strong support of the account, particularly around the replenishment and forecasting functions. Promotional and monthly sales number management and in providing strong support to the account strategies and KPl's.
  • GS1 Product database management across all existing and new lines, working closely with the Category/Marketing teams to provide support and create alignment on all NPD activations and tailored promotions to ensure speed to market is best in class.
  • Communicate successfully with all aspects of the JDE business: sales, category, marketing, customer service, forecasting and finance.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of FSNI Joint Business Plans.

For this role as our National Account Specialist/Inventory Planner, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Highly numerate with experience in promotional investment analysis and data interpretation
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills 
  • FMCG experience in Sales, Category or Supply Chain
  • Ask the questions and engage stakeholders to find the answers
  • Let your excellent communication skills shine
  • Be passionate in what you do
  • University degree highly regarded
  • Applicants must have New Zealand working rights
