Corporate Reporting and Tax Accountant

Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role has the responsibility for the reporting activities relating to the holding and legacy companies and the compilation and filing of the statutory accounts for the UK entities. This is a key role in coordination of the UK tax activities in conjunction with internal /external advisors to meet compliance deadlines and requirements for the UK tax group.

  • Statutory Accounts – preparation and filing of the statutory accounts for the UK entities, liaising with the contributors to the accounts and the auditors to meet fling requirements and deadlines.
  • Tax – responsible for coordinating the internal and external tax requirements in conjunction with internal / external advisors. The role covers the reporting of corporation tax, VAT, intrastats, and some benefit declarations.
  • Reporting Activities – timely month end reporting for the holding and legacy companies, including profit and loss, balance sheet. Reconciliations, cash flow and contributing to the forecasting process for these entities. Monthly / quarterly tax reporting for all the UK entities.
  • Audit – collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal key controls, leading to clean audits in the areas of the role responsibilities.
  • Policies and procedures – ensure compliance to existing policies and procedures. Regular review and communication of procedures to enable regulatory and statutory requirements to be met,           

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant ACA or ACCA with at least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS and good level of tax knowledge
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure and on own initiative
  • Able to communicate with people at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Technically up to date with attention to detail
  • SAP R/3 experience and advanced Excel skills
